More Ideas to Consider33. Flamingos: You can totally do a whole bridal shower based on flamingos. Not only are they awesome, but they’re pink — which is an easy hue to incorporate when it comes to flowers, decor and balloons.

Rooted In Love: So the theme may sound a little cheesy, but this theme is definitely one of our favorites. Go all out with the roots idea by serving your apps in mini planters, using potted plants as decor and garnishing your drinks with fresh herbs. How adorbs are those carrots and hummus pots?! Burlesque: While this could definitely be a bachelorette party theme, we love the idea of getting more of the guest list to join in on the fun. Pass out feather boas, play swanky tunes and put on your sky-high heels. Downton Abbey: If you’re a huge fan of the British show that took the U.S.

Age

By storm, a Downton Abbey shower would be right up your alley. All of the bridesmaids should dress up as actual maids, the menu should be filled with classic British fare and there should be plenty of tea. Whimsical Circus: Bright neon colors work with gold, circus accents for a super whimsical theme. We love the crazy streamer backdrop and the idea of serving vibrant rock candy. Champagne Tasting: Your best buds will love getting their drink on at your champagne tasting shower. Once you’ve all had a few glasses, let loose with some party games.

Julia Child-Inspired: Another centerpiece to capture the bride’s love of cooking or baking is this huge Dutch oven pot filled with flowers. If you’re a fan of the amazing Julia Child (who isn’t?) you’ll love throwing this chef-centric shower. Have your guests fill out recipe cards to add to the soon-to-be-bride’s collection. Neons + Neutrals: Whoever thought of this whole neon meets neutrals thing is a genius. We love the combination and we’re especially crushin’ on those neon handled forks!

Quirky Tea Party: If you’re throwing a very small get-together, a quirky little tea party on the lawn is a great way to celebrate. Country Western: You know what they say, you can take the girl out of the country but can’t take the country out of the girl! Have your guests rocks cowboy boots, drink some sweet tea and have a good ol’ fashion hoedown.

DIY Mimosa Bar: If you’re throwing any type of brunch party, a mimosa bar is seriously crucial. We’re also loving the color dipped vases hanging in the background. Whiskey Tasting: Who says it always has to be a champagne affair?

This theme’s perfect for the girl that loves a hearty sipper. Watercolors: Sometimes a soft and pretty theme is just what the doctor ordered. You could throw a watercolor painting party, passing out paper and palettes to all of your guests. Or, you could take it less literally and decorate based on soft, washed-out hues. Vintage Pool Party: We are obsessed with this ’60s-inspired tiki party. Decorate with bold and bright colors, wear your and have the best pool party everrrr.

As someone who has been spinning disco records (note the word record) for over 35 years I think I can speak with some authority when I say this is the worse 100 Greatest Disco 12″ I have ever seen. It was clearly compiled by someone who has no idea what disco is. Just to remind everyone, it’s music to dance to, loosen your inhibitions and make you feel good. Whilst there are a few tracks on the list that would pass muster in a ‘Best of Disco’ list, the ommissions are staggering. One Patrick Adams track? Nothing from Cerrone?

Nothing from Rinder & Lewis? No Gregg Diamond, not even Peter Jacques, let alone Don Ray as mentioned below and I think I missed anything produced or mixed by Tom Moulton. Sorry, but whoever did this list has a very poor knowledge of disco.

But please.who made this ranking (?) An idiot who never stepped on a dance floor.? I’m not asking to put the idiot theme (funkytown) but if Major Groups that are not.!Van McCoy, Hues Corporation, Dinasty, VMCrew, Rufus & Chacka khan, Chocolate Milk, Ray P Junior and Raydio, Salsoul Orchestra, Fat Larry Band, People’s Choice, Rick James, Cameo, Lakeside, MFSB, The O’Jays and The Three Degrees, Boney M, Silver Convention, Cerrone, Ginno Soccio, a taste of honey and many more this Ranking is a Real Shit. Who the Fu#k.came up with this lame list.whom ever don’t know sh#t about what was hot in the clubs back in the DAY.if you know ANYTHING about this music genre.you would never leave out.The Trammps Gloria Gaynor Barry White McFadden & Whitehead KC and The Sunshine Band A Taste of Honey Amii Stewart Sylvester Village People Kool & The Gang Lipps Inc.The Hues Corporation The Andrea True Connection Anita Ward Vicki Sue Robinson Labelle Love Unlimited Orchestra.you get the idea.!!!! This list has no cred!!!. Really had to make a login just to answer to all this unnecessary hate here in this discussion. The reactions of some people here make me think they’ve never understood what disco music is about. At least they didn’t got touched by the vibe and soul of disco.

It’s not about hate. It’s about dancing, it’s about smiling, it’s about not taking everything too serious, it’s about loving (especially physically 😉 Where is all this complaining coming from for a topic which is – in the world we live in – more than irrelevant.

It’s just a list of disco-music releases – not more and not less. Generally I think it’s impossible to list tracks seriously by any value. Therefore music is a too subjective matter. If you want a standard billboard list about disco music with all the big names everyone knows then there are a lot of possibilities in the web. Use spotify or itunes lists for example. I personally like this offered list here, cause it has personality and it’s not generated by any bots, but made by a regardful person (or group).

Furthermore i found some good new tunes i didn’t know yet, although i listen a lot of disco music. So, please dear people calm down and start thinking by yourself.

And start to stop hating. Thank you 🙂.

This is no more than an attempt to try and impress us with a load of uninspired, hard-to-find (allegedly, point in case being Oneness of JuJu, which concludes its description with “Original 1980 copies are extremely rare” – they’re NOT!, although it is a funky slice of groovealishousness), and (most of ’em) absolute cr.p records. Did someone go and buy a box entitled “Disco Job Lot” and there happened to be 100 12″ers in it or something? Yep, fair do’s there are SOME good one’s in here, but in the main this is just sh.t. How can you have a top 100 without the one of the best (come ON people, back me up on this) 12″ records of all time missing???

Ten Per Cent by Double Exposure? The GODFATHER of 12″ music – mixed by THE LEGEND Walter Gibbons. I say “mixed” but in fact the label quite clearly say “Disco Blending by Walter Gibbens” so there can be NO dispute it is a DISCO record! Sack the board! Out with the Chairman! Now, folks, let’s get a REAL list going huh?

1 record each – I’ve already named mine (don’t care what number you want to give it, let’s just get 100 PROPER Disco records listed)! Wow, a lot of haters in these comments, mostly complaining of omissions of popular tracks from back in disco’s heyday. I like that this list includes obscure and international tracks that have been rediscovered in various dance scenes (over the LAST 40 YEARS by the way) A lot has happened in that time. There’s a whole world out there people!

Disco is about opening your mind and freeing yourself on the dancefloor! Open yourself up to new musical experiences. I spin “disco” on vinyl every Saturday, both new and old and and have many of these records, play the hits and the weird ones and Brazil, and African, and Island, and Italo, and Balearic, and etc etc.

There were hundreds of thousands of disco 12″s. Why limit yourself?

Yes, lots of classics not on here, and a few that aren’t necessarily dancefloor bangers, but lots of new sounds for ya old geezers lol! Thank you for this list! Added a couple of them that are new to me, I’ll be hunting them down to drop on my dancefloors.
