Lightroom 5 Timelapse Templates
Posted By on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in When a new version of Lightroom comes out I always like to update the video on upgrading, installing and organizing your presets for Lightroom. Just to go over any differences or changes with the new version. Luckily, with Lightroom 5, you don’t really need to change anything from Lightroom 4. Presets work pretty much the same way that they did in version 4, and any presets you had from Lightroom 4 will work just fine in Lightroom 5 with no changes. Anyway, here’s a video that goes over how to install and organize your presets so that they’re easy to get to. Lightroom 5 Timelapse Presets
Templates contain layouts for printing your photos, including any text overlays and print job settings. The Lightroom Classic Template Browser in the Print module contains premade templates for common tasks, such as making contact sheets. The Template Browser also lists custom templates you have saved. Moving the pointer over a name in the Template Browser displays its page layout in the Preview panel at the top of the left column.
Clicking a template name displays a preview of selected photos in the work area. The preview updates when you choose a different template or specify different print options, such as add text overlays.Lightroom Classic offers three types of layout templates. All templates have image cells for containing photos and margininformation.

If you specify overlay options, a template can alsocontain text areas. The image cells and margins in a template scaleto accommodate the paper size you specify.Print job settings, including the paper size and printer, arealso saved in a print template.You can create new templates by modifying the settings of existingtemplates. Select a template, use the controls in the right panels,specify the paper size and printer settings in the toolbar, andthen add a custom template. You can also modify the image cellsin a template by dragging the margin guides or cell boundaries.Layout setting modifications, overlays, and print job specifications canbe saved as a custom template. (Single Image/Contact Sheetlayout) In the Guides panel of the Print module, select or deselectShow Guides. Specify whether you want to show or hide rulers, pagebleed guides, margins and gutters, and image cells.
(Picture Package and Custom Package layouts) In the Rulers,Grid & Guides panel, select whether you want to view a pageruler, a layout grid, or page bleed guides. Specify a unit of measurefor the ruler, snap behavior for the grid, and whether to displayimage dimensions with the bleed layout.
